Trump Wants Climate Disaster Survivors To Die
From FEMA to food, it's all on the chopping block. And a drunk misogynist is about to take over the military
PRESENTED BY THE BLUEBORB
The fossil-fueled climate denier Donald Trump is visiting the fossil-fueled climate disaster zones of North Carolina and southern California, where he’s making the pitch to eliminate the Federal Emergency Management Agency, after fomenting dangerous conspiracy theories against FEMA even as Helene was hitting North Carolina, putting the emergency workers and the people in greater danger.
“They’ve been abused by what’s happened,” Trump said today of the survivors of Hurricane Helene, who were abused by Trump. “FEMA has really let us down, let the country down.”
“I’ll also be signing an executive order to begin the process of fundamentally reforming and overhauling FEMA. Or maybe getting rid of FEMA. I think that FEMA’s not good. I think we’re going to recommend that FEMA go away.”
He’s then heading to Pacific Palisades, to claim California’s fossil-fueled drought is Gov. Gavin Newsom’s fault and call for eliminating FEMA.
Trump’s worldview is purely one of grievance and fealty. “A lot of money is going to be necessary for Los Angeles and people on the other side want that to happen and they want it to happen fast.” Trump complained in an interview with the oleaginous Sean Hannity on Wednesday. He then lied, “The Democrats don’t care about North Carolina.” Lying some more, “FEMA has been a very big disappointment. They cost a tremendous amount of money. It’s very bureaucratic and it’s very slow.” In another lie, “All it does is complicate everything. FEMA has not done their job for the last four years.” Lying again: “The FEMA [sic] is getting in the way of everything.” After an extended tangent about how he "loves" Oklahoma because they voted for him, even more than they did for Ronald Reagan, the big fat lying liar got back on track: “The Democrats used FEMA not to help North Carolina… Those people were treated very badly by Democrats.”
Trump got to his point: “I’d rather see the states take care of their own problems.”
Meanwhile Trump’s minions are freezing and dismantling our nation’s emergency preparedness, health, science, and food systems.
Most Americans can't imagine how bad the food shortages are going to be under Trump. However, there are people working day and night to be prepared. Here are some key resources:

The U.S. Senate is debating whether to confirm the drunk rapist Pete Hegseth, who has never run any major organization, as Secretary of Defense. He is also, unsurprisingly, a climate denier. The vote will take place this evening. Hegseth received over 50 votes in the first vote, with Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) joining all Republicans other than Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine). Unless two more Republican senators come to their senses, this violent white-supremacist caveman will control the US military within 24 hours.
Common Defense has a tool to directly email your senator and Indivisible has a tool to directly call your senator to oppose Hegseth’s confirmation.
No, the news isn’t good today. It’s going to be like that for a while. The training wheels are off, it’s time to organize.
