Snow Day
It's a good day to be a snowman
Today was meant to be the first Hill Heat newsletter of the new year, but Washington D.C.’s weather switched from a freakishly warm 63°F yesterday to a big wet snowstorm today. This has meant fun for my family…

… but of course trials and tribulations for many others.
This storm is a beast. Reagan National Airport w/ near blizzard conditions past couple of hours with heavy snow, 1/8-1/2 mile visibility, 30-40 mph gusts. Reports of downed trees/outages mounting, esp in north central Va.

Snow getting all the headlines but the high winds with these thunderstorms/rain squalls has knocked power out to almost 1/2 a million in the Southeast.

Regular posting will return soon. Stay safe and be well.
P.S. Please consider a donation to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund. I’ll be writing about this fracking-fueled catastrophe soon.
