Looking Forward to Election Day
What will be the Climate Consequences?
If you need information about where and how to vote—or have any family or friends who do—check out iwillvote.com. If you’d like to do last-minute GOTV, text VOLUNTEER to 30403, the Working Families volunteer hotline, or find opportunities at events.democrats.org.
As fossil-fueled tornadoes strike the Midwest and Tropical Storm Rafael forms in the Caribbean, millions of Americans are going to the polls to vote in this most consequential of elections for American experiment in democracy. Join the editors of the U.S. Climate Politics Almanac, Brad Johnson and Jordan Haedtler, on Friday, November 8th at noon Eastern for Climate Consequences, a special subscribers-only debrief of the 2024 election results.
We’ll be reviewing Congressional races, ballot measures, and downballot races from the hurricane-ravaged Southeast to burning hot Arizona.
Brad and Jordan will discuss the outcomes of the efforts of progressive climate politics groups such as Lead Locally, the Jane Fonda Climate PAC, Climate Cabinet Action, Climate Hawks Vote, Food and Water Action, and the Sunrise Movement.
Unlike The Washington Post or the Los Angeles Times, this newsletter isn’t controlled by a craven billionaire who prevents his editorial board from making the obvious choice to endorse Kamala Harris for President. Unlike Politico and The New York Times, we don’t run greenwashing ads from ExxonMobil and the National Propane Council to support our climate coverage. Our only responsibility is to you.
